One Dead, Five Injured in Targeted Attack


A shooting at the KDC/One manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio, left one person dead and five others injured late Tuesday night, according to police. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, Bruce Reginald Foster III, who fled the scene after the attack.

Suspect on the Run


Police have identified the suspect as Bruce Reginald Foster III. He is described as:

  • 175 pounds

  • Brown hair and brown eyes


Authorities have not determined a clear motive. New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones stated that investigators found no prior reports of workplace conflicts or disciplinary actions involving Foster.

"He had been at work for some time when this occurred," Jones said. "We don’t have any reports that he was in trouble or had a conflict with anyone."


Police and Community Response


Jones called the incident a "targeted attack" but did not provide further details.

New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding expressed sorrow over the violence.

"Our community is heartbroken," Spalding said. "We may never know what drove this individual to commit such horrible acts, but we must do more to support each other and recognize when someone is in distress."


Authorities say multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the search for Foster.
