One Dead, Five Injured in Targeted Attack
A shooting at the KDC/One manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio, left one person dead and five others injured late Tuesday night, according to police. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, Bruce Reginald Foster III, who fled the scene after the attack.
What Happened
The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the KDC/One facility, a cosmetic manufacturing plant.
The suspect, Bruce Reginald Foster III, was an employee at the plant.
Police say Foster had been working as usual before he suddenly opened fire.
One person was found dead inside the building, and five others were transported to local hospitals.
The conditions of the injured victims remain unknown as of Wednesday morning.
A handgun was recovered from the scene, but police have not confirmed if it was the weapon used in the attack.
About 150 employees were evacuated from the building and relocated to a neighboring facility.

Authorities have not determined a clear motive. New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones stated that investigators found no prior reports of workplace conflicts or disciplinary actions involving Foster.
"He had been at work for some time when this occurred," Jones said. "We don’t have any reports that he was in trouble or had a conflict with anyone."
Police and Community Response
Jones called the incident a "targeted attack" but did not provide further details.
New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding expressed sorrow over the violence.
"Our community is heartbroken," Spalding said. "We may never know what drove this individual to commit such horrible acts, but we must do more to support each other and recognize when someone is in distress."
Authorities say multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the search for Foster.
